Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee

The Forest Grove School District 2022 Bond requires that an independent citizen Bond Oversight Committee will be established to oversee the use of bond funds. The school board is actively seeking applicants for this committee.

The Committee will:
  • Review bond program progress and monitor schedules and spending
  • Be composed of school board members, no more than 10 community members and 2 high school students, appointed by the board
  • Hold meetings open to the public and post meeting agendas and minutes on the district website
  • Meet quarterly through January 1, 2027 or upon issuance of the final spending report
  • Prepare an annual report for the school board
  • Be supported by the Forest Grove School District Chief Financial Officer and Cornerstone Management Group as ex-officio members
 
Eligibility of Committee members:
  • Must live within the Forest Grove School District Boundaries
  • Must be a registered voter
  • May not be an employee or officer of the Forest Grove School District
 
Applications will be accepted until all positions are filled |  English | Spanish 
 
Over the active construction term of the Bond, the Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC) will convene regularly, and as needed, to review progress on the projects detailed in the Forest Grove School District Bond Measure 34-320. CBOC will review program progress and will monitor program spending and schedules. A written report describing program progress will be prepared quarterly for the Board of Directors and published on the Forest Grove School District website. CBOC also will issue an annual report to the Board, including an overall assessment of the bond projects, schedules, spending trends, and cost projections.
