Summer 2025 Oregon Summer EBT is beginning its second year as a grocery benefits program which helps families buy groceries for their school-aged children during the summer break. Each summer, eligible families will get one payment of $120 for each eligible child in their home. Any unused EBT benefits will expire 122 days from the date they were originally issued.

Who is eligible? School-aged children are generally eligible for Summer EBT 2025 if: The household already participates in SNAP, TANF or the Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid); or
The child attends a school that offers the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) or School Breakfast Program (SBP). Also, their household income must meet the requirements for free or reduced-price school meals; or
The child attends a school that offers the NSLP or SBP and the child is: Enrolled in migrant programs; Experiencing houselessness; Participating in the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations; or Attending Head Start.

How to apply? If your household already participates in SNAP, TANF or the Oregon Health Plan (Medicaid) during the 2024-2025 school year, your child will be automatically enrolled in the Summer EBT program. If your child is not automatically enrolled and you believe your child is eligible, you will need to fill out a simple application that will be available starting in May 2025. Please be sure to check the Summer EBT website sebt.oregon.gov for more updates. When applying, you will be asked to provide your child’s name, school, date of birth and address. You will also be asked to report your household income. |
