About the Bond
The Bond Promise in Progress
Numerous projects were already completed from 2023 through 2025. Projects for 2026 (primarily in summer) include:
- Cornelius Elementary—field striping, fencing
- Dilley Elementary—complete pre-K addition, ADA improvements
- Echo Shaw Elementary—roofing, asphalt in covered play area
- Fern Hill Elementary—garden, AV equipment in cafeteria
- Harvey Clarke Elementary—complete exterior around addition, gym seismic upgrades and AV equipment, paging system
- Joseph Gale Elementary—pre-K classroom, student resource room
- Tom McCall Upper Elementary—west: cafeteria fan, library enclosure; east: roofing
- Neil Armstrong Middle—cafeteria renovation and AV equipment, stage curtain, paging system, locker room wall
- Forest Grove High—commons student store, auditorium lighting, Viking and west gym floors, shotput/discus area refinish, locker room renovation, library AV equipment
- District Office—remodeling basement/office spaces.
While 2026 is the last, full year of bond projects, new windows will be installed at Gales Creek in 2027 to accommodate scheduling.

Bond Approved by Voters
On November 8, 2022, Forest Grove School District voters supported the District's $121.9 million capital construction bond to provide necessary improvements as an investment in our students' future.
Safety and security
- Secure entrances, alarms, cameras
- New secure entry vestibule at Neil Armstrong Middle School
- Fire safety improvements
- Seismic upgrades
Repair and Update Aging School Buildings
- Electrical, roofing, flooring, lighting, plumbing
- New HVAC to improve air quality
- Expand Physical Education spaces to meet state requirements
Provide Early Childhood Education
- Ensure capacity for one Pre-K classroom at every elementary school
Expand Hands-On Learning and Student Opportunities
- District-wide technology upgrades
- Expand career and technical / vocational education spaces
- Expand Physical Education spaces to meet state requirements
Replace Cornelius Elementary School
- Replace Cornelius Elementary School, built in 1945, with a modern school
