Cornelius Elementary School - Turf Field (2025-2026)

Construction of the synthetic turf field began in summer 2025 with initial grading, and is now substantially complete, with minor finishing work (i.e., fencing, reseeding of grass areas) in January 2026. The field will not only give Cornelius Elementary students an all-weather area for PE and exercise, but will also provide the community with a recreational resource for youth sports teams.

 

Field lights were installed in summer 2025 as the rest of the campus was completed.
