BUDGET COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
The Forest Grove School District invites applicants to apply to fill three positions on the Budget Committee. Two of the positions are each three year terms and the third is the annual alternate position. The alternate serves a one year term and is not a voting member of the committee; however, this is an opportunity for anyone interested in learning the budget process to become familiar with the operations of the district. Many current budget committee members began serving as the alternate.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications: be a registered voter of the District, have lived in the District for one year and cannot be a Forest Grove School District employee.
The Budget Committee reviews the District’s budget and recommends needed changes. The Committee conducts business in evening public meetings held between January and June. The Budget Committee approves the Budget Document and forwards it to the School Board for adoption by the end of June.
Those who wish to apply should fill out the application and turn it into the Superintendent’s office no later than 4 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2018.
OPORTUNIDAD DE MEMBRESÍA DEL COMITÉ PRESUPUESTARIO
El Distrito Escolar de Forest Grove invita a los solicitantes a presentar una solicitud para cubrir tres puestos en el Comité de Presupuesto. Dos de los puestos son cada tres años y el tercero es la posición alterna anual. El suplente sirve un término de un año y no es un miembro con derecho a voto del comité; sin embargo, esta es una oportunidad para que cualquier persona interesada en aprender el proceso del presupuesto se familiarice con las operaciones del distrito. Muchos miembros actuales del comité presupuestario comenzaron a servir como el suplente.
Los candidatos deben cumplir con las siguientes requisitos: ser un votante registrado del Distrito, haber vivido en el Distrito por un año y no puede ser un empleado del Distrito Escolar de Forest Grove.
El Comité de Presupuesto revisa el presupuesto del Distrito y recomienda los cambios necesarios. El Comité lleva a cabo negocios en las reuniones públicas de la tarde celebradas entre enero y junio. El Comité de Presupuesto aprueba el Documento de Presupuesto y lo envía a la Junta Escolar para su aprobación a fines de junio. Aquellos que deseen postularse deberán
