Principal Selected for Fern Hill Elementary School

(FOREST GROVE) – The Forest Grove School District is pleased to announce that Rogelio Martinez has been selected as the Principal of Fern Hill Elementary. Mr. Martinez has been serving as the interim principal since the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year.

 Prior to acting as the interim principal, Mr. Martinez served for six years as Tom McCall Upper Elementary Assistant Principal. Previous to that he was the Principal of Echo Shaw Elementary for five years.

 “I am excited to continue our work at Fern Hill,” said Mr. Martinez. “Fern Hill has a dedicated, amazing staff and I am blessed to be working with them. They have welcomed me into their family and I look forward to continuing to build on the work that has been done in previous years. The entire Fern Hill community is now a part of my family. Go Falcons!”

 Mr. Martinez is an experienced bilingual and bicultural educator. He received a BA in Education from Western Oregon University and a MEd in Educational Leadership from George Fox University. He has vast experience in providing rigorous and equitable educational experiences for all students. He also has successfully served as the District 504 Coordinator and Flight Team Leader.

The district is excited to have Mr. Martinez continue his work as principal at Fern Hill Elementary.
