Celebrating National School Counseling Week

School counselors support students in more ways than most realize. This week we celebrate them as a part of National School Counseling Week 2021. FGSD counselors do so much for our students on a daily basis. Here is just sampling of how counselors make a difference in the lives of our students:

  • Forest Grove School District school counselors are all in for students every day!
  • Provide both academic advising and behavioral health supports.
  • Collaborate each day with families, teachers, instructional assistants, principals, and community service providers to best serve our students.
  • Play a key part of equity and inclusion work in their building to ensure the identity safety of all students.
Please visit our School Counseling webpage for more information on the amazing work our counselors do.
