We are inviting parents to participate in “Community Engagement Sessions” to learn more about and provide feedback on our district’s Dual Language Programs (English and Spanish).

The evening will start with free dinner for families. Then parents will collaborate in the school library for an hour, while students enjoy fun activities supervised by staff.  There will be a gift giveaway at the end.

All of these “Family Gatherings” will be from 5:30 to 7:15 pm.  

School-Level “Family Gatherings”

April 7:  Fern Hill Elementary in Spanish (translation in English)
April 15: Joseph Gale Elementary in Spanish (translation in English)
April 21:  Echo Shaw Elementary in Spanish (translation in English)
April 23: Cornelius Elementary in Spanish (translation in English)

District-Wide “Family Gatherings”:

April 28 (Tues): Neil Armstrong Middle School in Spanish (translation in English)
April 30 (Thurs):Tom McCall Upper Elementary in English (translation in Spanish)

All Community Engagement Sessions will be facilitated by Irma and Phil Decker, from Salem, each with more than 30 years of experience as bilingual educators supporting parental involvement and dual language programs.
