Operational Blueprint Overview

On June 10, 2020, the Oregon Department of Education released their Ready Schools, Safe Learners, Guidance for School Year 2020-21
This guidance describes in detail what schools and districts need to do to prepare for welcoming students back in the fall - either in-person, fully online or using a hybrid option. By mid-August, each school and district is required to submit an Operational Blueprint for Reentry that is tailored to local context, informed by local needs and approved by the local School Board. Each Operational Blueprint for Reentry must address eight essential elements, including Public Health Protocols; Equity; Instruction; and Family and Community Engagement.
In order to complete these Operational Blueprints, the district has convened several planning teams at the district level. Additionally, each school will also create a school-based team. The planning will be informed by input from staff, students and the community. Updated guidance from ODE, Washington County, Oregon Health Authority and Governor Brown will also be used.
