Coronavirus Pandemic EBT (P-EBT)
The State of Oregon is the recipient of a grant to provide funds to children experiencing food insecurity during this Pandemic.
Pandemic Electronic Benefits Transfer for Children (P-EBT) offers food assistance to low-income children during the Pandemic by providing their families with more resources to use for food where Oregon Trail cards are accepted. P-EBT is possible because of a collaboration between Oregon’s Department of Human Services (DHS) and the Oregon Department of Education’s Child Nutrition Programs (ODE CNP). This program was created in response to the gap in nutrition that the Pandemic can pose for many children around the country. Eligible children may include children in the District that qualify for Free and/or Reduced meals or attend a school within the District that Qualifies for CEP (Cornelius Elementary School, Fern Hill Elementary School & Joseph Gale Elementary School). If your child is eligible, you will be contacted shortly by DHS. Instructions will be included in that communication to activate or refuse benefits.
